An Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, Prof. Oliva received her PhD in Economics from UC, Berkeley in 2009. Prof. Oliva specializes in the fields of Environmental Economics and Development; and specifically, in the relationship between air pollution, health and environmental policy effectiveness in the developing world. Her work uses a variety of micro-econometric techniques to study individual incentives and human impacts of air pollution.
